A Really Cheesy Meal Plan

What is one ingredient that we can never be without in our house? Cheese! If I counted right now, I bet we would have six to eight different varieties of cheese in our refrigerator. 😀 That sounds like quite a few, but we have a ways to go to catch up to the 300 different varieties of cheese there are!

The great thing about cheese is how versatile it is. It can be the used as the bases to soups, toppings for salads and pizzas, stuffed inside sandwiches and ravioli, or just eaten plain. It can be made savory or sweet too! Cheese contains a variety of nutrients like calcium, phosphorus, protein, Vitamin A, and Vitamin B12. Many aged varieties like cheddar and Swiss contain almost no lactose and can be consumed by those who are lactose intolerant.

So, in honor of this amazing dairy product (and to use up some of the cheese in our fridge) this week’s meal plan is centered all around cheese! So, load up your grocery cart and let’s get cooking!

Cheesy Recipe Details:

Beef and Cheese Tacos – Brown ground beef, mix in taco seasonings, and top with your favorite taco toppings. Don’t forget the shredded cheese! We prefer cheddar 🙂

Pepperoni Stromboli – You can’t have Stromboli without mozzarella. Provolone cheese is a good addition too if I have it around. I lay slices of each down the middle of the dough before I braid it shut.

Foil Packet Southwest Dinner – Here’s the new recipe we are going to try this week! If you are just getting started with meal planning, you don’t have to make new recipes every week! Just go with what you know and add something new in every now and then.

French Dip and Swiss Sandwiches – These are a family favorite! (And super easy to make in the crock pot!)

Grilled Cheddar Brats – What’s better than a cheese infused bratwurst? Nothing.

Tater Tot Casserole – Because I have it in my freezer so it’s a night off for me!

Grandma’s Goulash – My roommate in college never put cheese in her goulash, but I just don’t think it tasted as good! You need the cheese!

Well, we hope you have a great week and other than your meals, it’s not too cheesy! We’ll end this week with a cheesy joke, as it goes with the theme 🙂

What do you call cheese that isn’t yours??

Nacho cheese!

Just be glad this wasn’t a corny meal plan 😀 Have a great week! What’s your favorite kind of cheese? Leave me a comment below!
