Homemade Hashbrown Patties

One thing I love? McDonald’s hashbrown patties. But man, I don’t like paying for them! These have been a very good substitute and the recipe makes like 9 to 10 patties (depending on how big you make them.) There has been more than one time I have ate wayyy more of them than I should have!

Servings 9 patties

Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • cup flour
  • 1 beaten egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Bring a pot of water to boil.
  • Peel the 4 potatoes and place in boiling water for 10 minutes until outsides are soft but insides are not done.
  • Cool potatoes in cold water.
  • Shred potatoes in a large bowl. Add flour and egg.
  • Mix together by hand. Shape into patties.
  • Place into heated oil and fry until golden brown. Flip and fry the other side.
  • Place on paper towel to cool. Season with salt and pepper.
