Homemade Hashbrown Patties
One thing I love? McDonald’s hashbrown patties. But man, I don’t like paying for them! These have been a very good substitute and the recipe makes like 9 to 10 patties (depending on how big you make them.) There has been more than one time I have ate wayyy more of them than I should have!

Hashbrown Patties
Ingredients
- 4 medium russet potatoes
- ⅓ cup flour
- 1 beaten egg
- salt and pepper to taste
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to boil.
- Peel the 4 potatoes and place in boiling water for 10 minutes until outsides are soft but insides are not done.
- Cool potatoes in cold water.
- Shred potatoes in a large bowl. Add flour and egg.
- Mix together by hand. Shape into patties.
- Place into heated oil and fry until golden brown. Flip and fry the other side.
- Place on paper towel to cool. Season with salt and pepper.
