Toy Rotation for Toddlers

About a month ago we started toy rotation in our house. I had been considering it and this mama’s blog post finally convinced me! Basically it consists of putting a little over half of our toys away where the kids can’t get to them, and then setting the rest out to play with. About every two weeks the toys that are set out get traded around. Check out the full video below to see how toy rotation works in our house!

  1. Thanks for the link back! I’m glad you trying out toy rotations! Do you find that the toys in the bedroom get played with much? My daughter likes to play where we are so she doesn’t have anything in her room.

    1. Our bedroom toys do get played with quite a bit, I think it’s because they are out in the open and we are in there off and on throughout the day. I know when my daughter was younger and we had only her, we didn’t have any toys in the bedroom either, but eventually we got so many they had to go somewhere! Now I like keeping them more contained in there. But, they do go back and forth between the bedroom and living room often. It just depends how the day goes!
